I'm bummed it wasn't better. I love a good MLP parody. I was really hoping this would be hysterical. I've watched a lot of Micheal Bay movies but I still didn't find it that funny. Maybe I have just become jaded or something by all the other stuff on the internet and I expect too much. I guess I have become a comedy diva. Someone says Live Action MLP movie and I can think of 5 billion gags for that trailer so when they couldn't even make me chuckle I was like, meh. I think you hit it right on the head. They were taking themselves way too seriously with this and almost forgot to make it funny. Or, at least, that was what it was like to me. My Little Pony doesn't even take itself seriously so it just seemed like they didn't know enough about the source material to effectively parody it. It's not their fault, I know they put a lot of work into it, I just thought it was a bit weak. I wanted a violent MLP rainbow carnage of death and magical fairy dust type comedy video and all they gave me with Wizard of Oz colored horses and that was it! I wanted something like the classic Cute Has Learned to Kill like the Bean Bunny (Bean-bo) video from the Muppets. Oh well. I am still holding out that someone will take this idea and make something really hysterical with it. Obviously it is good satire. it's not making fun of MLP per se, it is making fun of Michael Bay movies, Transformers in particular. They just took another iconic 80's franchise. As a MLP fan I've seen the fun side of it. I don't like taking myself too seriously and this trailer is pretty much harmless, they show their true intentions from the very beginning. So, please, don't get too upset. I am not sure I would like to see a MLP real action film, mainly because I don't think they could pull it off. But I'd love to see more animation movies, a new TV series... As a MLP fan I’ve seen the fun side of it. I don’t like taking myself too seriously and this trailer is pretty much harmless, they show their true intentions from the very beginning. So, please, don’t get too upset.
